Time for a RALLY!
On June 8, 2024, communities across the province will participate in the first ever
Day of Action to Protect Ontario from Gravel Mining.
Reform Gravel Mining Coalition is mobilizing residents and policymakers to defend lives and the environment by Demanding A Moratorium Now (DAMN) on all new aggregate approvals.
We in Caledon will also be very focused on telling everyone who will listen to Say NO to the Caledon Mega Quarry!
- 11:30 am Gather in the hamlet of Cataract
- 12 noon March to Charleston and Main in protest
- 12:30 pm Food and fun in Cataract
- 1 pm Tug of War!
- 2 pm Wrap up
In addition, that will be the first day of our Self-Guided Tour around the proposed quarry area, where you will learn about the wonderful things to be found here in the Heart of the Headwaters and the destruction a mega-quarry would cause.
You will have a whole week to tour this lovely area and complete activities to get ballots for prizes!
