Last month, CBM contacted all individuals who had filed a formal objection to the proposed mega quarry in November 2023. CBM has announced that a Public Information Meeting will take place on Thursday, March 20. Key details of the meeting include:

• The meeting will be held virtually.
• The Q&A portion of the meeting will last for 70 minutes.
• A summary of the updated application and technical reports will be made available after the meeting.

Concerns Raised by the Community:

• In-person Meeting Option: CBM should have the courage to meet in person with residents while providing an online streaming option for those who prefer it.
• Advance Sharing of Materials: The community requests that the summary of updated materials be shared beforehand to facilitate informed and thoughtful questions from residents.

Many residents have already communicated these concerns to CBM.

CBM's Response:

• An in-person meeting will not be offered.
• Summary information will not be provided in advance (no reason specified).
• The Q&A session could extend up to 2 hours.
