Let's start 2026 with some outdoor fun!

Join our First Day Hike in the Alton Grange, led by local resident and well-known writer Nicola Ross.

Two hike options: the 90 Minute Loop, or the Under an Hour Loop. Decide when you arrive.

Children and dogs on leash are welcome. (the dogs are to be leashed, not the children!)

** NOTE: it can get icy on the trails. Please wear good warm clothing and footwear. Bring hiking poles and shoe spikes if you have them.

Parking in the lot beside the Grange, along the road, or at the Alton Library (35 Station St).
